Elizabeth J. Drake joined the firm in 2005 as an Associate. She has experience in a variety of international trade law matters including antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings, section 301 petitions, unilateral trade preference programs, international and bilateral trade agreements, agricultural trade policy and international labor standards. At Stewart and Stewart, Ms. Drake has participated in proceedings before the Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission. She has also advised clients on trade policy and legislative matters.

Prior to coming to Stewart and Stewart, Ms. Drake served for six years as an international policy analyst at the American Federation of Labor – Congress of Industrial Organizations. At the AFL-CIO, Ms. Drake worked on a broad range of trade issues for American labor unions. She has extensive experience advocating on trade and international economic policies with the U.S. Congress, executive agencies, and state-level policy makers, as well as international organizations such as the World Bank. Ms. Drake has served on the Labor Advisory Committee on Trade Policy and Negotiations to the U.S. Trade Representative, and on the boards of several non-governmental organizations involved in trade policy.

Ms. Drake received her J.D. from Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, Ms. Drake co-authored a study by the Harvard Human Rights Program and the R.F.K. Memorial Center for Human Rights, “The Multilateral Agreement on Investment: A Step Backward in International Human Rights.” Prior to law school, Ms. Drake obtained her B.A. in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley, graduating with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa. Ms. Drake speaks Spanish and Portuguese, and she has worked and studied abroad in Brazil.

Ms. Drake is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and is admitted to practice before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the Court of International Trade.
